I used to be funny!

I read my niece’s blog yesterday. That girl is seriously funny. I just admire her wit and creativity. She’s so clever and can use big words like capacious. I don’t even know what that word means nor could I spell it correctly as she did. You think I am kidding. I actually had to go to dictionary.com to look the word up, I was THAT stupid confused. She’s an inspiration, though. I remember being young like her and saying what I wanted and how I wanted to say it and being sarcastic and hilarious and liked… Aw, those were the days. Being as awesome as her though means never having to admit you’re cool. There is a humility there that most people don’t understand and to say that I will work on trying to regain any kind of heyday mentality of my youth would only be setting myself up for failure. Let’s face it. People change. They  evolve. Well, since  we’re being real here…they get OLD. When did THAT happen? Since when is 37 the new 50? My Wii Fit says that I am 55. It’s bad enough having the reflection in the mirror tell me that. I don’t need a video game to confirm it. Aaah…well, there’s nothing like flipping the TV set the bird.Note to self…you canNOT hurt the Wii Fit’s feelings…but you CAN throw it off the balcony and crush it into a million pieces….
