Welcome to my website. This site is meant to showcase my professional abilities in web design, graphic design and marketing. You will also get a taste for the personal here by way of my blog posts which you can see to the right of your screen.
You will quickly find that I am full of opinions and any future employers will likely and unfortunately base an opinion about what type of person I am and what kind of employee I can be upon what you’ll find within the pages of this website. My only response to that is that if an employer is to be as narrow minded as to not offer me work because of a personal website and not on the merits of my work, then they’re probably not someone I’d like to work for in the first place.
And in coming to my defense as an employee, I am loyal, have integrity and work quickly. In many ways, the challenge has been upon my past employers to keep me busy enough because I tend to finish projects ahead of schedule.
If you are here to see my work and to get a sense about me, the person, please know that I, like many others, have challenges to overcome and responsiblities to take care of. I am a mother FIRST. And everything else comes second and you’re welcome to read more about that by readingĀ About Me.
Thank you for stopping by.

Oh crap
ha ha!!!!!!!! Abby says the duct tape was here doing!!!!!!!!!!
(((Hugs))) One year was the most painful day for me and I just went through it 2 1/2 weeks ago. It’ so hard to believe that much time has passed because you do keep coming back to the same day over and over again. Thinking of you.
The biggest hugs to you and Michaela. I thought about you both often yesterday and wondered how this would be for you. There is nothing I can say to make things at all easier, so I won’t even try. I love you so much and I’m hoping that opportunity for you to meet up with Andrea in Denver happens soon. Hugs and kisses!
That’s soooo stuck in my head now. Thanks a lot!!!
Awh, hugs to you. For me my one year mark was hard, everyone wanted to be with my children and I.. while I thought, “Why? Where have you been all year?” I was pissed and like you did not want people asking me how I was.
You are strong to have survived your first year of firsts, cause it is NOT easy.
Sending you continued strength.

I’m so with you on that! I think season 2 had to have been the best. Remember it used to be more funny? My husband used to trash my show when I first start watching it, then not too long later he was right in there with me watching it..smiles. I miss him.

Your car is male?
Yup. Got a problem with that?
Mine’s male too! The Jeep is named “Jr.” after Dale Earnhardt Jr…It just seems not right for me to a ride a…..nevermind.
This TOTALLY beats my latest find, “Flaming Squirrel Blamed for Wildfire.”
I didn’t even know fish had testicles. Personally, and I’m no expert, I think all testicles are poisonous in some way. Why would anyone want to eat them? Did they run out of fries? Sheesh.
I KNOW!!! Where do fish hide ‘em? I agree though…first why would anyone want to look for fish testicles anyway? Second, once you found ‘em, why would you eat ‘em? Serves them right for being so gross and stupid.
Well…coming from the state of the “Rocky Mountain Oyster” I wish I could give some insight…instead, it’s just something you ask before dating someone new. “Are you married”, “Does insanity run in your family”, “Have you eaten any species of testicles?”…If those are all “No”…he’s a keeper!
I love the new look! And I’d love to see the pictures you take on your new camera as you begin to use it more. How fun!
Tatiana del toro is SOOOOOOOO FREAKIN ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!!
Vote for Danny gokey season 8!
Ohhhh!! What fun!!! You guys will have a blast. I’m so glad you two get away like this – what wonderful memories to add to the memories you all made with Mike.
Enjoy Kris & Michaela!
You of all people know what he’s going through..I was shocked and saddened by the news. I’m also sad to hear about Ron Silver…that one I hadn’t heard.
hugs
You are a homophobic nutcase, aren’t you? Get over it and appreciate true talent.
Earing show off his gayness????…..its 2009 dude
You wouldn’t understand sarcasm if it bit you in the butt. Seriously. If I want to say that his gayness oozed from his earrings, I’ll say it. I don’t care if it is 2009, it doesn’t make it okay, cool or attractive. Does Adam have talent? No doubt about it. Does he appeal to me? No. He doesn’t. I wouldn’t buy his record. I don’t care for his singing. But he CAN entertain on stage. That is a given. I am so sick and tired of sheep and their moronic willingness to follow a fad. There is absolutely nothing wrong for standing up for what one believes. But to be labeled something because I disagree with how you think is exactly what’s wrong with people these days – You’re ok as long as you agree with me. Whatever. Get lost. It’s my blog and I’ll say whatever I want.
You go Kris.
No kidding – it’s your blog, you have a right to say what you feel. Good grief. You call it how YOU see it – and so far I haven’t disagreed with anything you’ve said!
No words….uh……….hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
What a wonderful Easter message! I was reading the Ensign today and saw a picture that I absolutely love of Peter and John running to the garden tomb. I couldn’t help but think of the day that we will all run to see Him as well, and all of our loved ones who’ve started helping with Heavenly Father’s work on the other side. Happy Easter!
Wow, Kris. This is indeed a wonderful Easter message. Of course, I wasn’t aware of Mike’s passing until we found each other again on Facebook. I still remember your beautiful wedding…
You will, indeed, see him again.
God Bless you and your family.
Dude, Randys wardrobe, I totally agree with u on that one….
Ummm…I am (sometimes, blessedly) disconnected from most news media…At first I thought this was Photoshopped! Let me know when he gives knuckles to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, or hugs the Queen of England…
How fun; Michaela sounds like the perfect concert buddy! I can’t believe you guys got him over to you a THIRD time! I have always wanted to see a concert at Tuacahn, it sounds like a blast.
P.S. I LOVE the pictures you put up a week or so ago of Michaela at the park. Looks like you are putting your new camera to good use!
Well, here’s to the next book in the series! I hope the haggling truly is over and you can move forward with whatever you decide the next book should be! And, even though its a new book, the same characters are involved so you can still remember the chapters of the first book.
i think Reynold and Bullock did they best they could have done with a generally predictable storyline… they made it worth watching
I agree. I had to stop myself from saying something as well. Yes, they ARE someone’s friend, lover, father, mother, uncle…
I lost an uncle yesterday. Seems so surreal all of this happening right now.
So sorry the buyers backed out! What a pain, and I just LOVE that house, so obviously they weren’t good enough for it! Hang in there..you will win this fight for your independence day and you’ll have earned it like nothing else in life. You and Michaela have a long, happy prosperous life ahead of you, so don’t let a couple of deadbeat buyers get you down…you’ve already won ya know?
Love you!
Kris, you continue to amaze me. Even though I don’t see you (face to face) anymore, I really relish reading your thoughts.
You are an inspiration and of course, God has perfect timing. The house will sell. Your new life will begin.
Great photos! Ron and I are going old school and bringing his old 35mm to SF. I miss the developing part….I’d kill for a dark room in the basement!
Good luck with your photography! You’ve always had a natural talent for it.
Love you!
me
ROFLMAO! I knew exactly who you were referring to with the tomato!
You are doing a GREAT job doing it all yourself….self inflicted or not…so no need to induce a drinking problem on yourself. I enjoy your posts…they are so heartfelt, and even spilt milk, are very profound.
Miss you so much!
LOL Congratulations Momma Kayla! What are the new names? Kris – I think you can get a plastic cup that attaches to the side of the tank to keep Mickey 3 and babies safe while the babies grow a little.
I am not understanding why the performance was considered so “Disgusting.” I feel like everyone is being quite uptight about the whole thing. It really was not that bad. Is there something wrong with a brief kiss between 2 people? Is it because it was 2 men? So we should be teaching our children to be homophobes? The crotch rubbing I agree was a little over the top, but I do not see why it should really be that traumatizing. The men on leashes were just hilarious. I believe the Outrage over this performance is just silly and exaggerated. The outrage is more disgusting than the performance itself.
Seriously? Nothing wrong with it? I would agree with that if it was merely a kiss – even if it was between two men. But it was lots more… S&M, fondling, simulated sex…flipping off the audience. That has no place on prime time television and he knew it. He did it anyway. How presumptuous of him. It’s so easy for them to claim discrimination when they are criticized. I think it’s bunk.
What is this thing called Adam Lambert……..?
What told it that it had talent?
Why do we grown ups have to deal with degenerates?
Worse, why do our kids have to see this deplorable trash in the form of humanity simply because it tries to look like a person?
I think what bothers me the most is that people like him think they can get away with this stuff because they think claiming discrimination will shut people up. The rules for them don’t apply and if they break them, the rest of us are just biggots. Well, too bad…the display was gross. He was gross and we shouldn’t have to be subjected to it just because he was “in the moment” which in and of itself is crap because the rest of the performance was clearly rehearsed….premeditated murder of family time TV…jerk.
I went to bed before he performed, but I must say, I’m glad I did. I wasn’t impressed with ANY of the performers…all the women having to do the tough chick crap…having other female dancers writhing around…and though sure it’s sexy in some standards, when all of them do it, its just BORING. I think Adam is a freak and a contradiction to himself. It’s types like him that give homophobes the reason to be homophobes…don’t preach to me that your just “normal” like “everyone else” and then shove your differences in everyone’s face. Sure, if what he did was really “in the moment” I wouldn’t have complained…but from all the pictures I’ve seen online, he had every intention of doing all of that. Honestly…I didn’t like it when Madonna gave a “job” to the microphone and rubbed crotches either…what makes him think he could do it and make it suddenly something people enjoy? OMG! I AGREE with Kris about something like THIS!?!?!?! ACK!!!! <<>>
I watched the show a few more time, and have been following the aftermath. I have adjusted my opinion a bit. I still think people are a little too uptight and getting themselves upset over this is silly. However I do see the blatant, in your face shock value that is pissing everyone off. I was thinking he was expressing himself, but now it is obvious it was a publicity stunt, which has totally worked in his favor. The performance was a big “F U” and based on his interviews and comments I do see your point.
Roast beast is always good for what ails you! And this: http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=tXXwtFWpAI8&client=mv-google
Merry Christmas!
Wow girl! I’m so proud of you! In the past month I’ve GAINED 5 pounds! So to LOSE 15 and you’ve never dieted before..that’s REALLY encouraging. Stick with it. I eat later than I should just because of our schedules…but if you are avoiding the Zingers and going for an apple…that’s a success to say the least! Seriously…VERY PROUD OF YOU! You inspire me. I’m getting on it starting today….wait…had a huge saucy italian lunch…ok…starting tomorrow! I SWEAR!!! Love you!
I just saw Percy Jackson last night and you know what? I THOUGHT THE SAME DARN THING!
PAIGE MILES IS THE BEST OUT OF ALL OF THEM FOR SURE!!! SHE DOES HAVE THE MOST POWERFUL VOICE EVEN SIMON KNOWS IT, THEY ALL KNOW IT!! SHE WILL BE THERE UNTIL THE END
I hope you’re right! Because what they’ve done to her so far hasn’t really been fair. She needs more exposure and hopefully she’ll get another chance next week.
Hi Kris!
The body fluctuates so much- that yes, indeed your body will gain .8 if you drink .8 lbs of H20. Experiment by getting on the scale before holding a 16 oz bottle of water. Get back on it holding the 16 oz bottle and you will notice you are up by that much. Whether you drink it or hold it, the gain will appear on the scale. 100 years ago when I was a member of weight watchers, I would not drink any water or eat before weigh in. Only afterwards. Our bodies fluctuate so much throughout the day, that I didn’t even want to be up an oz on weigh in day.
I admire your endurance with your program. The shoes are probably the most important part of your walking program. In high school I wore Nike, Brooks and then happened upon the New Balance for walking and long distance running. I’ve been wearing them for over 25 years now and won’t go back to anything else. They aren’t the most feminine looking shoes, but for comfort and support, they really do rock! You might want to consider exchanging the Nike for the New Balance if you continue to have a problem.
You are doing incredible! Averaging over 3 #’s loss a week! Awesome! Keep up the good work. You inspire us all!
You remind me so much of Terri.
Take care!
Cindy
Hi Again . . .
I meant to leave these links for you in case you might be interested.
This is the link to the pair of NB Walking Shoes I own. Not really pretty, but they had a pink ribbon for Breast Cancer Awareness that gave them a hint of pink. I purchased mine for a dual purpose in running and to support my Mom and of course because it didn’t feel like I had anything on my feet.

And this is the pair of NB Running shoes I own. Not pretty, but comfortable. I purchased both the walking and running shoes from Nordstroms about two years ago. I was able to locate these on Amazon in case you are interested to read about them. Had no idea they sold these. Should have known though. Could have saved some $.
Anyway, there are so many models to choose from. I happen to like this pair for running, and the pair for walking are so so comfortable. The running shoes were about $125 and the walking $100 when I purchased them. Pricey, but worth every penny.

Hope you find relief in your walking.
Cindy
Thanks, Cindy! I can’t return the shoes because I have already worn them for the past few days. I don’t think the shoes are the problem though. I do notice a big difference in how I place my feet on the ground with the new shoes. I think a big part of it is that I am starting off too fast too soon. I think apart of it is that I am trying to keep up with my sister who has a longer stride than me and that’s hard.
That’s funny. And so true. That’s like my kids trying to catch up with me. Makes perfect sense. And as with our individual strides, every foot is different too.
Different shoes for different folks.
You’re an inspiration. I happened upon one of the neices (Allie) blogs after she emailed last week. Checked out your site and found that you are kicking it in gear too! I check your blog often now to stay motivated myself.
It’s really hard this time around that at almost every corner I want to throw in the towel. I see you doing so well, and that helps me to stay motivated.
Keep up the good work!
Cindy
