More About Me...

Hi there! I am a mother, widow, web designer, graphics designer and amatuer photographer who is just roaming this earth seeking joy. To learn to live with yourself, you must laugh AT yourself.

Say, WUT?!

Okay, so this is my confession... I am a HUGE Rick Springfield fan! On July 2, 1982 my older sister took me to my first rock concert. I was 10. That night was a game-changer. So this site design is an ode to my Rick fixation.

The Cruise….my final thoughts…

First, let me be clear (I sound like freakin’ Obama, don’t I?), I LOVED going on this cruise. I loved the build up as I planned to go. I loved the pre-cruise fun I had at the Boca Raton concert (even though the camera nazis kept me from bringing in my good camera and some chick decided to stand on a chair and block my kid). I LOVED the daily Rick concerts and I LOVED meeting him again, even though I was struck dumb nearly every time and I even loved decorating my door and the anxiety I experienced when I thought we’d go home without the coveted Rick signature on our decorations. The Last Day at Sea

The sunrise last Wednesday was beautiful. It was our last day on the cruise and it was a “sea day”. We hadn’t gone to any of the other decks to look at the decorated Rick Doors so we chose this morning to do this since there were no Rick activities that we were involved in until later in the day. While doing my hair I thought that giving the video camera to Michaela would be a hoot. I thought she could give the door tour and tour of the ship for the folks back at home. There’s nothing like a dose of brutal honesty from a 9 year old. It will take me some time to process the video but when I do, it will be fun to watch. Michaela didn’t hold back on her thoughts on some of the door decorations. :) Continue Reading…

Grand Cayman

Grand Cayman is beautiful. From the moment we got there, I loved it. The water is indescribable.. It’s a combination of the deepest blue that blends into a sparkling teal as its waves tickle the white sandy beaches at its shores. The people are friendly. The atmosphere relaxed. It was a shame that we only had a short time there. Michaela and I had to be one of the first ones off the ship and we were – making it aboard the first tender to shore. Continue Reading…
