~*’*~ WAVING ~*’*~Someone in Washington D.C. is currently reading my blog. I just wanted to say “hey, howzit goin”? If you happen to know Joe-Bama, tell ‘em to get off their butts and get back to the work they were elected to do, ok? If Mr. Obama has any trouble figuring out the Yes/No buttons on the ol’ voting thingy, I am sure that Senator McCain will be happy to show him how it works.

The other evening I was discussing the upcoming election with Mom and Dad. We were speculating on running mates and what a bafoon Joe Biden is and what a moronic choice he’d be for Veep (more on that later). When in the midst of our ranting, Michaela came in the room and said with a lot of passion for an almost-6 year old, “There are people that want to kill babies! I think babies should LIVE!” Yikes. Where’d that come from? So, it’s apparent that this little apple doesn’t fall far from the tree…Back to Biden…UGH! At first thought, I think that Obama is totally out of his mind if he picks this outspoken yahoo as his running mate. Biden has had diarrhea of the mouth for the past 8 years, if not more (so long as there was a Republican in office). The only worse choice would be Clinton but I think Obama realizes that if he chose her, his life would be in extreme danger. Yeah, she wants the presidency that bad. Then on 2nd thought, I think that choice could bode well for the Republicans because Biden is so dang unlikeable. He’s hardly “dream team” material. And given the fact that service time wise, he’s got a huge leg up on Obama (he’s served for decades vs 140 days in Obama’s case), he could just as soon be accused of being the puppet master to Obama’s strings. Hey, they did it to Cheney. Turn about is fair play. Since Obama clearly tanked last Saturday during the Saddleback Church thing, he’s in trouble. He’s pulling out all the stops – graying his hair to give a more distinguished appearance (frankly, to me he looks ridiculous), pandering to whatever audience he’s in front of, etc. I know, I know..he’s a politician. It’s what they do. And I am far from a McCain supporter but I’ll give it to him. He’ll at least tell it like it is. Whether or not I agree with him, I haven’t really heard him waffle on an issue.So, McCain has an opportunity here. If Obama picks Biden, McCain can shore things up with some of us on the fence about him by picking someone a little more right than he is of center. But rumblings lately have him doing exactly opposite and if he does that I can’t see my vote going to him. We’re screwed either way.
